Connor reincarnated at Blade's Edge, an old bandit camp he had settled in. 'Damn, that hurt!' He rubbed his temples. He always got a killer headache when that happened. After taking a few minutes to recover, he stepped outside. As he crossed the threshhold, two huge black wings emerged from his back, and he exploded towards the sky. 'Time to show that whelp who he's dealing with.'

Xun heard the shooter yell and point the gun at him. Raising his hands up as a sign of peace. "P-please sir, I don't know what happened. I was just on my way to make a delivery! I saw you shot the man and I just couldn't believe that he just stood up! W-when you shot him again I-I just couldn't believe my eyes. He just burst into flames and vanished..." Xun lowered his head, bowed and said in a soft voice, "Forgive my rudeness for staring, I meant no disrespect I-I was just frightened sir."

Lamaye chuckled at Kyle's reaction. She found human fear to be so amusing. Their choices under duress had a tendency to be illogical and ill-planned. Even as he pointed a gun at her, she showed no fear. If a gun was all it took to kill Lamaye, she'd have shot herself long ago.
No; she would serve her time--one way, or the other.
As another stranger, apparently an immigrant, was drawn into the situation, Lamaye simply observed further. Obviously neither were demonic, and showed no signs that they were aware of the supernatural. Interesting...considering their choice of setting.
"I suppose you two are new to this area?" she asked in her usual light-hearted tone. She pointed towards the scorch-marks on the flour. "That...is a demon. You'll find a number of them in this town. Angels too. Tombstone is a haven for them...a sort of neutral ground. They come here to rest, to work, and for other unmentionable acts."
Lamaye placed her hands upon Kyle's shoulder as an act of pity. "What you killed would easily be described as an upper-level demon. They are known for hatred, and don't like to be annoyed. I'd say your only chance is to find a protector. Find an angel. They love to protect humans. You might just get lucky enough to survive this encounter...for awhile."
Lamaye crossed in front of them both. She was certain her casual tone about this whole situation would be unnerving. If she appeared that calm about it, it meant she had seen it quite often. She had--being a demon herself, but they didn't know that. "Good luck. If you survive, you'll have to come back and tell me about your adventures. Would be an interesting story to hear."
With that said, she grabbed a couple of mugs off the counter, and crossed back into the crowed.

Xun's eyes opened wide. "Demons? Angels? What kind of a place is this??" he thought.

Kyle glanced at the woman, "Well, where the hell am i going to find one?" He asked, not in the mood for games. "Hey," He called to the immigrant, "What is taking you so long?" He pulled the hammer back on his pistol, unnecessary, but it usually helped get the point across. "Get over here." He didn't know what to do or where to go, "Come on, where can I find an angel?"

Xian had no choice but to follow Kyle, not wanting to get shot. This day was weird enough already. "Do you think there are actually angels and demons here?" he asked Kyle sheepishly. He didn't see the bar girl anyways. It was like she disappeared completely. "Weird!" he thought
