It was a warm summer day.The sun was high, and those at Havenbound were slow, hiding in the trees, by the streams, or just inside the buidings. Everything was calm. Dogs barked everyonce in a while, but not much. The calm was shattered by a young boy's voice. The woman inside the small yellow house raised her head from the letter she was writing.
She looked around, and stood up, the dress light, and beautiful. She stepped outside, getting hit by the heat. It was a dry heat, but still. She desired rain. Badly. She saw the young boy. He was a young angel, born to angel parents. But they had died only a few years ago. It was an unconfirmed killing from a demon horde, but she was sure she knew who had killed the boy's parents. Either way it didn't matter. "Uriel! The cattle! Someone stole half the herd!" the little boy couldn't yet hide his wings, and so they were flapping behind him, obviously scared. He was about thirteen, so little boy wasn't a good description, but it still worked. He stopped before her, looking dusty. She raised her ead to look off into the distance. She saw the dust.
"Get everyone together!" she ordered quickly. Her gaze was already moving towards he barns. Which horses would be best for this? She closed her eyes as she focused in on herself. She let go of her control, and there were the wings, and the faint glow of a very powerful angel. She watched the young angel run off. She would not accompany the group of riders. She'd have to go up. But for now she'd wait.
It took only moments with the young angel panicking. Everyone loved the boy, and so everyone listenened. She waited. "You need to get out there. I'll stop them, but you have to catch up quickly. Rolf, take Revenge. He'll carry you as long as you tell him he has to." she ordered. The man that she'd put in charge, Rolf, nodded. She was hovering in a moment. "See you soon." she said before the big white wings flapped easily. It was easy for the angel to find the group of men herding her best cattle away. She snarled angry. She quickly buzzed the front of the herd, and the animals stopped, frightened by the light. She landed lighting infront of the stopped herd. Six riders came and surrounded her. She smiled just a little, and waited. Relaxed.
