In July 2009, an electro-magnetic pulse destroyed
America as we know it, wiping computers and
technology, turning the superpower into little
more than a third-world country full of poverty
and corruption. Now, more than a decade later,
the world is trying to deal with the revelation
of the existence of Transgenics, genetically
engineered beings cooked up in Government
labs to be perfect soldiers. Freed into the
population by one of their own, they’ve flocked
to an area of Seattle known as Terminal City,
and have created their own little Freak Nation.

Based on James Cameron’s TV series Dark Angel,
Freak Nation takes place a short time after the
show ended. However, we’ve designed this RP to
be open to those who haven’t seen the show as
well. If genetically engineered hotties, trustworthy
dog-men, kick-ass humans, corrupt (or occasionally
honest) cops and mysterious cults float your boat,
come check us out! We have plenty of resources,
and are happy to answer any questions you might have.

Newly opened in January 2012, we’re an InvisionFree
site with a paid cbox, 200 word count minimum, as
well as friendly and welcoming staff. We’re open to
any kind of characters that fit the genre, and welcome
both canons and OCs. We’re also always open to ideas
and suggestions from our members, both on plots and
